So. Yeah.

Writer's block. Shit, eh?

However, it's not really Writer's block I have... no. I have way too many ideas, I just can't get them down for some reason. Anyway, this is just to run an idea past you lot, and see what you think. Trying to iron it out, see if it's actually worth going any further with it.



Well, anyway, the setting is Earth, bout 2020. At this point in time, there's a war going on. No, not a war between countries.

A war, between two factions. The Fallen Angels, and the... the.... AW CRAP -__- I forgot it. Anyway, we'll just call them the 'Dark Ones' for now. You'll see why.


Now, yes, the goverments of the world are involved, mostly though a United Nations combat task force though. As, the Fallen, and the Dark, aren't your ordinary people.

Manipulators
Alterers
Bonded


These are the names of these new people. Each, with strange, and sometimes unholy powers.

Manipulators - They carry an item with them, from which they gain their powers. Here's an example.
David, carries with him a diamond. Whenever he holds this diamond, he can call on it's power, turning his body into the near indistrutible gem, whle also beingg able to transform his arms into swords/spears/ect, and transfer som off the diamond through surfaces. In other words - Hands on the ground, Big ass spike comes out somewhere else.

Alterers - The most comon type.. Normally, they carry something with them, that's very... well, normal. A bit of paper, a school jacket, a book. Now, they can turn this item into... well, it depends really. Here's a few examples.
Max wears a pretty bland looking coat. Grey, deep pockets, nothing exciting.
Did I mention he can turn it into almost any gun he sees? Includes Flamethrowers.
Richard wears a school blazer. His is rather unremarkable comapred to Max. He can siply turnn it into a set of wings.
'Rich', not his real name. He has a small piece of paper with him, which always has a different drawing on it. Now, with this piece of paper, Rich can either turn his whole body into paper (Is actually WAAAY better than it sounds), make the paper into a range of deadly weapons (Darts, knifes, swords), and also use it to disguise himself. Now, there's been a lot of debate over if Alterers like Rich should atually bbe Manipluators, but, Manipulaors mostly uuse gems, metals, alloys, and such.

Bonded - These are the guys you really need to be scared of. They are the rarest form of these powers, and for good reason. Normally, they outmatch the others without even trying. Exmaple incoming.
'Lance', rel name unknown. He's Bonded with a sword, said to have come from an Angel of Death. Not too hard to believe.
While wielding the blade, Lance turns into what can ONLY be described as an Angel. Golden armour, his hair goes from short brown, to long, pure white, he gains wings, and can shoot black flames form his hands.
Now, Bonded are uniqe in the fact that, they dont acttually NEED their item to use their abilities. With his sword, Lance can still sporut wings, and is much much srongerr than anyone else.


Now, onto the SCIENCE! stuff. Well, as science-y as this shit gets.

Basically, when a person is born, they don't have these powers. No, no no. What happens is, at some point during their life, normally before their 8 birthday, they find an item that they 'resonate' with. This can be a huge number of things. What item they find, and resonate with, basically defines their personality, their powers, everything. Afterwards, that item never leaves that persons side. If it's a jacket, it grows with the person. Maybe tucked away, in a closet somewhere. The person finds it when they're older, wonder how the hell it's so big, try it on, and, BANG! Next thing you know, your house is on fire. 'cause you sneezed.


Fallen Angels, and 'Dark Ones'

The Fallen Angels are the 'Good Guys', though in the world goverment's eyes, none of them are good. They just seee these ones as the 'Least likey to try and kill us all'
The leader is Lance, the Angel. Hence the name 'Fallen Angels'.

Dark Ones.
These are the badguys. Pretty much will resort to anything to get their own people into places of power. Confirmed to have a number of people within the U.N, mostly within the force tasked to hunting them down.

Leader is simply called 'The Dark One' (No, the faction name is NOT going to stay -__- I just can't remember what I called them). Everyone just calls her Dark though.
She has black hair, wears a plain white mask, and can turn her jacket into wings. No-ones REALLY sure what she is, however, she's believed to be a Bonded, simply because she's the leader.


Basically, I'm thinking the story would follow... maybe 2 or 3 people.
1 in the Angels, 1 in the Dark Ones, and 1 who's trying to stay out of the fighting. This is still in the 'WTF AM I DOING' stage though, so expect major changes.
